BIOS battery
The BIOS battery, which saves the time and date, among other things, is a rechargeable battery.
If the Dreamcast asks you to set the time and date, you need to leave the console running for a while so that the battery can recharge.
If the message persists, you need to replace the battery.
To do this, simply unscrew the four screws to open the console, then replace the battery with an ML2032 (not a CR2032). The battery is in a socket, so no soldering is required.
Be careful when opening the console; if you have an original power supply, do not touch the power supply on the left. Even if the console is turned off, some components may still be charged with electricity.
USB-C Power Supply
The USB-C power supply replaces the original power supply. It allows you to power the Dreamcast via USB-C with a charger of at least 36W - 12V/3A.
