GameCube User Manual

The Picoboot mod

To access your games on the SD card, you must hold down the B button when starting the GameCube.

Then simply select and launch a game. A warning message may appear, but this will not prevent the game from working correctly.

You can return to the game selection menu without resetting the console by pressing Z + A + START.

If you want to change the Swiss settings, you must set the swiss-gc.dol file on the SD card to visible to access Swiss on the GameCube. The Swiss logo will appear among the games.

GBi

If you have a Game Boy Player, you can launch it without the original disc via GBi. To do this, you need to hold Y when launching the GameCube.

Once launched, you can increase or decrease the screen size with L / R, and confirm with A.

If you have no image over HDMI, disable the Allow 480p option in the GC video settings in 480p mode.

The RGB LEDs

If you want to add or remove games from the microSD card, simply copy/paste the ROMs onto it.

The microSD card is installed under the GameCube on the SD2SP2 adapter. If you remove it, be careful to put it back in the correct orientation.

The HDMI mod

The OSD menu can be accessed by holding L + R + X + Y + Down.

To navigate the menu: X to confirm, Y to go back, Cross to change the values.

The XenoGC chip

The XenoGC modchip allows the GameCube to play games from all regions. Simply insert the disc into the drive and turn on the GC.

You can check that the XenoGC modchip is properly installed by holding START at startup while the game is playing.
